Today we were hanging out at the creek with our friends and Ryden tells me he has to poop. There were no bathrooms around so I’m like “you gotta go here”. He says “poo on tree” because when we are outside and he has to pee he pees on a tree. I take him to a tree and we take his pants off and he says it’s not coming out. I keep his pants off so that when he feels it coming he can just squat and poop. He runs around for pants for 20-30 minutes and keeps saying he has to go but doesn’t go. This time he goes to a different tree and says he has to poop so I get right down beside him and squat and I say “squat like mommy and poop”. He totally gets it, he squats and poops. I then pick it up with a doggy bag and wipe his butt down by the creek. We hung out for a bit but I just kept smelling the poop so I had to double bag it. Later I threw it out in the garbage, and now my toddler knows how to poop outside.
